The Medieval Castle of Mytilene on Lesvos: The Castle of Mytilene, the capital of Lesvos island, is built around a hill, close to the port. This is one of the strongest and largest castles of the Eastern Mediterranean. It is believed that the Byzantines were the first to build the walls of this Castle on the site of the ancient acropolis, of which we have no clue today.

Agios Therapon : This church is dedicated to Saint John the Healer. It is located in the center of Mytilene, the capital of Lesvos. The church is a three-aisled basilica with an impressive architecture of Neoclassical and Renaissance elements. The church was built in the 19th century and has beautiful icons.

列斯伏斯島位於愛琴海東北部，為希臘第三大島嶼、地中海第八大島，現屬希臘北愛琴大區列斯伏斯州管轄。全島面積1630平方公里。該島因古希臘著名女詩人薩福而聞名於世。由於薩福傳說中是同性戀，故此，西方語言中「女同性戀者」一詞即由此島名轉化而來。

Lesvos is a lovely island in the North-Eastern Aegean. It is another of the worldwide famous Greek islands due to the poet Sappho, a symbol of female homosexuality. Having a long history and rich tradition, Lesvos mostly attracts families and travelers who want private holidays. The island is renowned for its high-quality olive oil produce!

古希臘文學中對莎芙的評價極高，甚至以「女詩人」專指她；另外在一篇僞託柏拉圖的短詩中詩人稱其爲「第十名繆思」在古代亞歷山大圖書館學者編排的九大抒情詩人中，莎芙亦名列其中。傳統認爲莎芙的詩大幅散軼的原因是中世紀基督教會對她的詩中所描寫的愛慾持反對態度，然而近代學者反對這一觀點，並認爲莎芙詩未傳世的主要原因實際上是因爲她所使用的伊歐里斯方言讀者羣體過於狹窄。

由於莎芙的詩中有很多篇幅直白陳述作爲一名女性對其他女性的愛慾，後世的西方語言中「女同性戀者」一詞即源自其居住地萊斯博斯島。然而直至今日學界仍然在爭辯莎芙其人是否爲一名女同性戀者，甚至有學者將這一爭議稱爲「大莎芙問題」。不論如何，自古以來所有對莎芙詩所進行的文學評論幾乎都無法脫離評論者對莎芙的性取向爲何這一問題的觀點。

Aegean, Lesvos has lovely fishing villages, beautiful beaches, and many sightseeing. Although the island has developed tourism infrastructure, it has also managed to keep its traditional vibe. Due to its large size, a car is necessary to drive around Lesvos and discover all its hidden treasures. 

Attractions in Lesvos are numerous, including the Castles of Molyvos and Mytilene, the Petrified Forest, the Monastery of Saint Raphael and the Roman Aqueduct.

萊斯沃斯島，有著希臘傳統，同時又兼有土耳其風情，是一個奇特的島嶼。在古希臘，萊斯沃斯島是一個文化高度發展的地區，特別是這裡的詩歌藝術世界聞名。萊斯沃斯島是著名詩人泰爾潘德羅斯的故鄉。他發明了七弦琴。漸漸的萊斯沃斯島成為新文化的中心，產生了許多有名的文學家和畫家。

Lesvos Greece is dotted with many picturesque villages! Molyvos, a traditional village perched on the slopes of a hill is one of the must-visit places in Lesvos. Molyvos village boasts a breathtaking view of the Aegean Sea. Above the village sits an imposing Medieval Castle that used to protect Molyvos from invasions. It’s too good to miss!

One of the largest Greek islands, Lesvos is a popular destination for family holidays and relaxing holidays off the beaten tourist trail. Thanks to its close distance to Chios island, Lesvos is also a great base for island hopping!

希臘第三大島－萊斯博斯島是世界公認最開放的島嶼之一，它的美麗因為曾居住在此的古希臘浪漫抒情女詩人－莎孚而聲名大噪，其作品遺留不多，卻幾乎針對女性間的愛意、生活、感情、美貌等方面細膩描繪，被女同志者視為朝聖的度假天堂！在這裡，彼此享受著最自由平等的愛戀。

紫藤瀰漫整條街道，海風徐徐吹來，愛琴海的鹹味與鮮味刺激著味蕾，而成群紫藤盪漾空中，希臘暖暖的金黃光芒穿透其中，紫色系列迷人的倩影就倒映在寧靜的石頭巷弄內，形成一幅人間最美麗的畫作。

沒有太多奢華的夜生活，餐廳與酒吧的陳設多半充滿傳統希臘與愛琴海文化的特色，純樸而溫暖的幸福感，即便是旅行也能回歸最簡單的安靜。有別於希臘其他地區多彩多姿的享樂、狂歡生活，沒有大型華麗酒店、豪華主題樂園等建築設施，島上居民仍以漁農業為主要生活形態，放眼望去，當地最傳統的自然風情成為人們嚮往樂活的最佳註解。

Some must-visit monuments are the Medieval Castles of Mytilene, Molyvos, and Sigri, which used to protect the island from pirates’ invasions. Another impressive site in Lesvos is the Petrified Forest in Singri, on the western side of the island. This forest had been petrified about 15 to 20 million years ago due to volcanic activity and is considered a rare geological monument.

The Castle of Molyvos on Lesvos, Eastern Aegean: On top of a hill filled with pine trees, above Molyvos village, on the northern side of Lesvos, there is a strong fortress that dominates the area. The Castle of Molyvos stands as a great historical monument for the whole island and as one of the most well-preserved castles in Eastern Mediterranean. Open to the public, this castle and the castle of Mytilene are the most famous and strongest of Lesvos.

In summer, this site hosts many festivals and cultural events, such as musical concerts, lectures, and theater performances.

島內自然簡約的純粹，萊斯博斯島邊的沙灘與海水卻是充滿濃厚的渡假氛圍，淨藍澄澈的廣闊無邊、不受任何汙染與限制的沙灘，隨處可見赤裸胴體。建築、文化、小鎮風情……安靜祥和的天堂，不論同性戀與否，都能感受希臘文化自由迷人的微旅行。
